Students need to be represented

- to professors, on the University Governing Board, and in all the everyday processes that take place at a university.

That's the reason for the Student Parliament (StuPa). Complementing the work of the various student councils, we represent your interests at a central level. At the same time, we ensure a livelier campus through our own events and the promotion of initiatives.

Representation ranges from visits by the Managing Committee to the University Governing Board, to student representatives sitting in the Senate and University Council, to students participating as members in countless commissions. And last but not least, StuPa's work includes countless discussions at all levels of the University’s administration.

The broad lines of this representation are set by the Parliament itself. Its 29 members meet regularly to discuss substantive issues. They elect the Managing Committee to run the day-to-day business, as well as speakers, advisers, and representatives, who regularly report to the plenum.

In addition to representing the student body vis-à-vis Administration, StuPa also plays a completely different role: As one of the most important organisers on campus, we put on numerous events every year - from Mensaabend (Cafeteria Evening), to Uni Open Air, to Rondell-Vous. At the same time, we support other initiatives with funds and helpers to keep campus life interesting.
